C. P. Ramaswami Aiyar Institute of Indological Research was established in 1981 in order to facilitate research and promote the study of Indian art, history and culture, and organize seminars and conferences on various aspects of Indian Culture and history.

LIBRARY

The Institute has a reference library of over 15,000 books and manuscripts on Indian philosophy and religion, history, culture, art and law, and over 5,000 on the environment.
